NEO CDZ Import modification

Ahhh, ya gotta love SNK. Not only do they not use communications chips in their controllers, but they make it REAL easy to modify their CD system. The system will already play import games no problem, but you may want to convince the machine it's from a different region to fool those games without a 'blood code'.

First, tip your machine upside-down, and remove the four screws underneath the machine. The inside of the CDZ is a hundred times nicer than the original or top-loading CD ROM system. As you can see below, the region settings are clearly marked. The right side of all four jumpers is electrical ground. Simply install an on/off (or on-off-on) switch with one leg (the center for on-off-on switches) to ground, and one leg to the left side of jumper one, and one to the left side of jumper two.
